Carmel Belle saved me! Prior to my trip, I was diagnosed with several health issues that required a strict eating protocol. I was so worried about what I would be able to eat while in Carmel By The Sea. Carmel Belle has such an inclusive menu, I went every day for breakfast for a week! I never got tired of the food and I truly felt safe eating there. If anyone out there is looking for a place that will accommodate their dietary restrictions, you have to visit Carmel Belle. I appreciated how nobody thought my orders were odd when I asked to add or remove things, proving how inclusive they are. I particularly enjoyed their house-made almond milk matcha lattes, market vegetables of the day, and generous avocado servings. THANK YOU, Carmel Belle!
My first visit to this wonderful establishment! Staff is very friendly, service is amazingly fast and the food is awesome! I ordered the tofu scramble. Loved it however it is a small portion so I ordered an additional scrambled egg. Also ordered the Verde verde smoothie which was yummy! Very cute atmosphere. A new favorite place! Thanks for the fresh food and great service!
**4.5 STARS A nice sold place for a healthy alternative meal! Came here on a Saturday around 1:00 pm and it was slightly busy but expected for a 3-day weekend. There's two counters where you could order, one where you could buy the food and drinks and a counter to only drinks and pastries. I got the free-range chicken Cobb salad and a matcha latte and my boyfriend created a belle bowl and had the apple jack juice. Everything was delicious and the portions matched the price. The person who took our order was very helpful and they had people walking around collecting plates and cleaning tables which was great! Overall the place was well cleaned and you have a choice to either eat outside or inside! Definitely would recommend this place and can't wait to come back and try new things!
came here for our first brunch during our short spring break trip to Carmel. This place was recommended by a friend who visited recently. We ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs, mushroom truffle toast, the BLT, and a sausage breakfast burrito. For drinks, we ordered coffee, golden latte, Matcha latte, and a hot chocolate. The food is very delicious. The avocado toast was high-quality, with actual fresh slices of avocado, and not some guacamole spread, which was appreciated. My son enjoyed the mushroom truffle toast as well as the BLT. The Matcha latte was good. The golden latte was earthy. Overall great experience. It also happened to be the day of the solar eclipse (Mon 4/8/24), the manager had eclipse sunglasses that he let the customers passed around so that we could see a little bit of the eclipse. That was super nice. Great outdoor seating area where we met new people and chatted with.
Such a cute spot in the historic Carmel by the Sea. Hidden inside, its menu is packed with fresh food. My favorite item was the chicken salad croissant. It was so refreshing and flavorful. The tomato bisque was a bit in the watery side, I preferred the black bean soup. The side salad was the perfect addition to the sandwiches
A nice simple spot that we always find ourselves going back to. We usually get something with their poached eggs like their toast and sandwiches. Breakfast burritos are good. Recently got the polenta bowl and it is the best comfort food. Generous with the mushrooms! Hot chocolate was good. Tried to come back during the power outage and thought the people were so sweet and trying their best to let everyone know what they still had available without power.
Great casual spot for a quick bite! The food was tasty. We had the salmon pasta and grilled cheese for lunch on one visit. On a separate visit we had the yogurt with fruit, toast and jam, and breakfast burrito. All of the options we chose were tasty! You order first at the counter and then you have a seat type of place. They bring the food out to you. Forgot to mention, the coffee was good! They also have options for smoothies.
Great service and delicious food! We only had the opportunity to grab a quick bite and coffee. I really enjoyed the Tuna Melt (a special that day)!! It came with a small salad. Perfect for a snack for 2 people.
Located in the Doud Craft Studios plaza, the ambience here was absolutely charming and inviting, colorful artwork on the walls, wonderful decor made up of plants, animal statues, and merchandise with cute sayings, and comfy and casual indoor seating options adding character to the space, including actual recliner sofas (as well as a bit of outdoor seating). With so many options on the menu for food and drinks, we ended up getting a little extra. Yup, like three drinks for just two people. Got an iced mocha which was super chocolatey just the way I like it, the Verde! Verde! smoothie, which was more fruity than the greens suggest, and that was all so delicious that we ordered a purple rain smoothie as well from the juice bar. For food we got the breakfast burrito with sausage, and breakfast burrito with spinach and mushroom, and these were made fresh, stuffed with lots of fluffy scrambled eggs and flavorful ingredients, a pretty fat and very satisfying burrito, especially with the mild green sauce and sour cream on the side. The place wasn't too crowded on a Sunday around noon. Service was great, hardly a wait for anything, and friendly staff. Also, parking was free and easy just across the street. A pleasant experience overall.
